About Us

Hiroshi Minato Jewelry is a handcrafted contemporary aluminum jewelry line. While it specializes in men’s jewelry, it has also been popular with women since it debuted in 2014. Currently, the jewelry line includes men’s necklaces and a small number of matching earrings for women. All jewelry pieces are designed and made by Hiroshi Minato in the Boston area in the U.S.

Jewelry Designer & Maker

Hiroshi Minato

Hiroshi grew up in Tokyo and has been a resident of Somerville, MA since 2001. He first began making jewelry in 2013 to fulfill his personal needs. He wanted to have a necklace which could match his fashion and life style. He decided to make it himself. After trying a few materials, he ended up choosing aluminum for his creation because of its color and the way it reflects the light.

His pieces are asymmetric, yet balanced. They are simple, yet sophisticated. They convey a meaning that can have many interpretations. Hiroshi creates the pieces so that the time and space around them evoke unlimited imagination. He believes that this process makes his pieces unique.
